Database Administrator

Barrow-in-Furness / some WFH

£45k - £55k base + on-call allowance

Security Clearance Requirement: SC Cleared or Willing to undergo clearance

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Database Administrator to join this prestigious organization, and support both SQL Server and Oracle database environments.

Experience with both SQL Server and Oracle is desirable, however, if you are proficient in only one technology, training will be provided in the other.

-Monitoring and Management tools

Key Duties:

In this role you will support the database design and specification process to ensure best practice and standardisation of database builds. You will work with application support teams and vendors, and health check database environments to propose recommendations for performance tuning and optimisation.

You will be on call for 1 week in 4, with allowance provided.

Experience in large scale environments and infrastructure projects is very desirable.

Appropriate candidates may have held the following roles: Senior DBA, Database Engineer, Database Administrator, Oracle DBA, Database Specialist, Database Support Analyst, SQL Server SME, SQL Server Analyst, Database Analyst
