They deliver everything with a 'Can-do' attitude and constantly challenge their teams to deliver everything with a special personalised touch, which their clients love.The RoleThe role of the Assurance Manager is to ensure that as a business they comply with all relevant regulations and specifications. The role will focus on health and safety and environmental regulations and accreditation but will also support with legal and quality standards, as well as any ethical policies and regulations.Key Requirements:Taking ownership of all health and safety compliance matters for the businessProviding regular and relevant communications to employees to ensure they are aware of their roles in health and safety and other compliance mattersProducing training materials and sharing best practice through the businessConducting detailed research and completing documentation and risk assessmentsPreparing O & M manuals and documentationSupport with quality and tender response documents for new projectsBeing part of a team to submit new bid opportunities for future projectsManaging accident and near misses reporting and producing H&S stats and reports for managementContribute to the management of ISO 45001 Health & Safety policy and its operation and ensuring business and employees are aware of the Health & Safety obligations and operate compliantlyBuilding and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as the external H&S ConsultantsVisiting sites to conduct audits and checks as and when requiredSupporting with business and industry accreditations such as ISO processSupport the business in complying with other regulatory requirements such as GDPR, modern slavery and other ethical policiesMaintaining records of compliance practicesDuty of care ownership for ApprenticesThe Candidate:Person SpecificationKnowledge and understanding of legal standards relating to compliance in constructionExcellent communications skillsAttention to detailAbility to problem-solveProject management skillsBe able to work under pressure to tight deadlineGood knowledge of IT systems, especially Word, Excel, OutlookQualifications & Experience requiredMinimum 3 years experience managing health and safety processes in the construction industry or similar relevant experienceNEBOSH Certificated or equivalentKnowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO 45001 Health and Safety and ISO 14001 Environmental ManagementPlease click on the APPLY button to send your CV and Cover Letter for this role.Candidates with the relevant experience or job titles of; Health & Safety Manger, H & S Advisor, Compliance Officer, EHS Advisor, Environmental Safety Officer, Quality Advisor, SHEQ Officer, ISO Compliance Officer, NEBOSH, SHEQ Advisor, Health and Safety Officer, Inspection & Audit Officer may also be considered for this role.
