This is an incredible opportunity to work with a committed team and use your experience of designing and using relational databases to contribute to a vital cause. We want you to use your skills to save our planet as a member of the world's leading independent conservation organisation. We need you to help enhance and transform the way we use and access data so we can deliver our mission to see both people and nature thrive!

As Development Database Administrator you will be the interface between our ICT Network and Data Services teams, translating requirements and supporting and maintaining our SQL servers and databases. You will play a critical role in the modernisation and transformation of current systems such as the CRM and Data Warehouse too. Day-to-day, you will support and participate in the setup and implementation of database solutions, help define and implement business rules, coding standards and interfaces (iPaaS) as well as support information reporting. You will also ensure that evolving business requirements are met by providing the correct platforms and databases. You will also critique and improve processes to take advantage of our data assets as well as educate and inform colleagues on the best use of data.

Used to designing and using relational databases, you will have experience of ETL/ELT, Data Transformations, SSIS and SSRS, and PowerBI Services. You will be familiar with Git, CI/CD, Data Factory, and Data Lakes too. You will have implemented DevOps Solutions as well as backups, restores and recovery models. You will also be expert in ensuring the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of server databases. Critically, you will be comfortable designing, building and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code as well as proficient with Microsoft SQL Server 2014 and later.

If you have the skills to play a leading role in managing WWF-UK's databases to help build a movement for nature, we would love to hear from you. We'll ensure you get all the support you need to thrive, including training course sponsorship and study leave.

Please visit our website to complete the online registration and submit a copy of your up to date CV with cover letter highlighting what makes you the perfect fit for the role and what sets you apart from the competition.

Every role at WWF is open to applications from all sections of society. We believe in the potential of everyone regardless of; race, religion or belief, ethnic origin, different physical ability, family structure, socio-economics, age, nationality or citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other aspect that makes you, well you.  Here at WWF we're committed to conscious inclusion that helps cultivate an ethos of belonging, connection and shared purpose.  We believe that the more diverse we are the better we become; this brings us together and empowers us to develop, engage and inspire; and critically to help build a future where people can live in harmony with nature.

Our policies and benefits reflect the importance of people being able to have a good work-life balance and being able to bring their ‘full self' to work.

Our world needs you like never before. We are the first generation to know we are destroying the world and we could be the last that can do anything about it. We're looking for people who are passionate about making it politically, socially and economically unacceptable to destroy our planet's natural resources. We need you to join us in the fight for our world.
