Overall Purpose

My client has increased its capacity and capability to undertake checks and inspections related to COVID secure workplaces. We have put in place a temporary blend of in-house and outsourced capability undertaking telephone and physical on-site inspections, supported by an analytics and intelligence function. This new model has allowed us to be proactive at a large scale and enabled us to react rapidly to changing environments and risk profiles.

We have now significantly increased the size and scale of our spot check operations and need a Supplier Management officer, reporting to the Supplier Manager to support the co-ordination of Supplier management within the Spot Check Programme.

Some of our operational activity is delivered by in-house teams but a significant amount of the non-technical inspections work is delivered through a partner network, creating a relatively complex operational landscape. Additionally, we are sourcing and receiving business/organisation data and cases from multiple organisations, including local authorities and our external data partner. Cases and workloads are allocated to multiple teams, using different processes depending on sector type and geography, and checks need to be delivered within agreed SLA's. Additionally, our internal field operations are undertaking COVID spot checks as part of their BAU activity and have significant workloads away from spot checks.

As Supplier Management Officer you will work with the Supplier Manager to ensure our partners are meeting delivery and performance expectations.

You will need to work closely with other members of the Spot Check Programme to manage our partner performance and operational capacity. The Supplier Officer will support the planning, organising, and reporting of performance outputs and support daily, weekly and monthly partner meetings and interactions.

This role plays a key part in our COVID response in ensuring that we deliver our objectives, can effectively respond to changing priorities and ultimately provide public assurance that GB workplaces are COVID secure.

We are looking for someone who has a solid background in service delivery partner/supplier management, preferably in a transactional, contact centre or field operations environment. It is essential to note that we are working collaboratively with our partners to collectively deliver the required outcomes and are not in a more traditional client/contractor way. The successful candidate will understand this distinction and will have experience working in this way.

Key Responsibilities

*Responsibility for managing and reporting performance of our partners, ensuring that they are fully utilised and are effectively managing performance against expectations on delivery and quality.

*Working collaboratively with partners on capacity planning models to ensure effective management of work and resources across the end-to-end service.

*Assist in the management of the workload pipeline for partners, including the prioritisation and allocation work by geographic region.

*Track and manage partner allocations and in-flight.

*Plan / Co-ordinate the daily weekly and monthly partner meetings.

*Assist in the preparation of meeting decks and associated management information.

*Capture and record actions from meetings and log, track and manage risks and issues

*Work collaboratively with our partners to ensure that we are appropriately prioritising spot check activities, are targeting effectively, are proportionate, and that we are adapting to changes rapidly

Essential Skills and Experience

*Solid partner/supplier management experience, ideally in transactional services, contact centre or field operations.

*Skilled in partner/supplier performance and relationship management.

*Planning, co-ordination and organisational skills with the ability to meet challenging deadlines

*Risk management experience in terms of identifying supplier risks and potential challenges that may affect the programme.

*Highly analytical with an excellent attention to detail.

*Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build consensus and relationships among managers and senior stakeholders

*Creative problem solver with a passion for continuous and the ability to take the lead when needed

*A positive and energetic team player who us able to work at pace

*Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment and react quickly to emerging challenges
