Lead IT Project Manager - Edinburgh Salary up to £55k DOE + Benefits PackageThe Lead Manager, IT Projects is a critical role within the Transition to Operations service delivering business critical IT change projects. With an investment of 120 million in its digital channels, my client is taking ownership of its IT services. Supporting the strategic initiatives you can expect to be managing a wide range of end to end IT deliveries right across their technology service. These will range from but not limited to Infrastructure, Communications, Application and Workplace services. This will be an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of technology for my client and take your career to the next level.Responsibilities:Leads the project team for the project lifecycle ensuring adherence to governance, risk and issue management, effective project communication and delivery of quality artefacts e.g. project plans, RAID log, stakeholder matrix, RACIs, readiness plans, and budget managementManages the execution of a portfolio of technology change projects and programmesDesigns, owns and develops project & programme management processes where neededLeads and shapes project and programme proposals, ensuring alignment with IT business strategyLeads and develops the capacity and capability of projects services both internally and with external partnersMotivates and coaches both direct reports and virtual team members to create high performing project teamsWorks with Programme Leads to provide regular status reporting & recommend options for contingency plansDevelops and maintains their own network of influencers to enhance the delivery of projects/workstreamsEngages with a diverse group of stakeholders to influence direction of projects to meet the project milestonesAbility to cope in a technically complex and fast-changing environmentOwns service improvement initiatives for the purpose of providing class leading IT project serviceIdeal experience:Proven Senior IT Project Management experience in financial servicesExperience managing 3rd party offshore resources & servicesExperience working within large scale, complex, global change environmentsExcellent communication skills - presenting, facilitating, verbal and writtenPrince2/PMP or relevant industry qualification.
