12 months fixed term contract 37 hours per week service desk covering between 08:30 am and 17:00 pm The ICT Traded Service provides a full range of ICT support and consultancy services to schools throughout the Borough of Walsall.  If you enjoy working as part of a team in a fast moving ICT environment, possess a wide range of ICT Technical skills, enjoy working in a busy environment and are a good communicator who enjoys meeting people then this could be the opportunity you are looking for. 
 
The majority of your time will be as a mobile site engineer, visiting schools throughout the borough to either fix problems or install new ICT systems, building a professional relationship with customers; the remainder will be office based working on or with the Service Desk which means that you will need to have a good telephone manner, be confident in your abilities and able to provide an excellent customer service.  
 
You should have previous experience of working within a 2nd line support and service desk environment; as you will be travelling around the borough you should have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, for which mileage will be paid. 
 
The technical skills required to carry out this role are wide ranging; covering desktop hardware, software, networks and servers; you will need to have an established technical track record and also the desire to learn about new technologies.  Closing date: Sunday 21st February 2021.  Interviews will be held on Tuesday 2nd, Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th March 2021.
