Junior Developer
£29,577 - £32,234 per annum, pro-rata
Fixed-term Contract 12 months, 37 hours per week

Ref: RRR00426 For the first time in 20 years property services, environmental services and building maintenance for Norwich are coming back under Council control through the set up and creation of our newly formed company, Norwich City Services Ltd (NCSL). The implementation of digital services will be crucial to the success of this new venture so the Council is looking to recruit an experienced software developer to support the identification of opportunities and the development of processes and solutions to transform these previously outsourced services, as well as other critical transformation projects as and when they arise. Supporting the Applications Support Team Manager in developing the business application strategy, establishing a holistic view of all software projects and the business' software requirements, you will possess proven project management ability with previous experience of working on low-code solutions with Agile methodologies. Customer care and interpersonal skills will be at the centre of what you do, working collaboratively to provide what will be a key service to NCSL, improving user experiences and saving money. In addition to the essential criteria set out in the Person Specification, the following experience and knowledge is desirable: Previous experience of working within local or a national government or within a highly regulated industry such as insurance or banking. Previous experience of working on service process improvement and transformational projects. Experience with Azure DevOps. Experience of working alongside Developers, technical and business professionals. Experience of working with GIS/mapping systems Technical process mapping experience.
