Data Engineer (Talend, Denodo or Pentaho)

London or Telford - £40k - £75k - various roles and levels available + Good benefits

We are seeking a number Data Engineers to join a leading innovative data team in a prestigious organisation. Our client offers excellence in career growth, professional development and a coveted personalised benefits package.

This opportunity covers the full project lifecycle from bid and proposal stage, requirements gathering and analysis, solution design and solution development. In addition this role will include leadership responsibility for a team of four; but this will also be a very hands-on position. You will have in depth data engineering skills and significant experience in the delivery of large/complex data solutions. You will advise project leadership on technical issues, progress, plans to resolve. You will be comfortable attending client work-shops and providing consultancy/advice on technical decisions and designs.

Key Skills:

Technical expertise in a range of leading ETL toolsets, database technologies, data analytics toolsets, operating systems, platforms (Cloud/traditional), programming and scripting languages. E.G. Cloudera-Hadoop ecosystem: Hive, HiveQL, HDFS, Impala, Oracle DB, PLSQL, SQL, Unix, AWS, Azure, Informatica, Business Objects, Pentaho DI, Pentaho BA, SAS 9.x, SAS Viya, PowerBI, Python, Talend, Denodo, Unix, Shellscript, Java, Javascript.
