The Role

As a Business Development Executive with Sogeti you will be acting as the first contact into new customers. Working with the rest of the Business Development Team you will map out industry persona, craft key messages to take to the market in a structured way and plan sector campaigns.

With a close alignment to the marketing team, you will also be supported by regular, exciting global and local marketing campaigns providing warm leads. The expectation is that you will use a combination of these warm leads and leads generated by your outreach campaigns to identify potential opportunities, qualify using the BANT (Budget, Authority, Need and Timeline) qualification method and schedule meetings for the relevant Business Development Manager. You will be responsible for tracking against your personal KPIs and targeted based on these and qualified meetings.

As a Business Development Executive you will maintain a strong alignment with the Business Development Managers, allowing you to understand the potential career path and opportunities with Sogeti, as well as, what it takes to be a successful BDM. Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):-

Building cold outreach campaigns

Building out approach strategies with BDMs

Aligning with marketing campaigns to plan, deliver and follow up on successful events, webinar and content releases

Effective utilisation of prospecting tools such as: LeadIQ, Outreach.io.

Effective qualification of new business opportunities e.g. BANT qualification

Articulation of opportunities and effective handover to the aligned BDMs

As a Business Development Executive, we're looking for:-

Proven experience and success in Business-to-Business (B2B) lead generation

Proven experience in mapping stakeholders and planning approach to lead generation

Understanding of different personas within an organisation and how to approach accordingly

Experience with working to daily, weekly and monthly KPI metrics (Calls, emails, outreach campaigns)

Proven track record of successfully engaging with key stakeholders in new prospective organisations

Ability to follow up on all marketing campaigns to qualify leads in an effective manner

A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to network internally and externally

Ability to articulate a complex sales pitch effectively

Ability to deal with objections in a professional manner

Self-motivated, lots of initiative and able to work to deadlines

Knowledge of FTSE 500 or at least the major players in a variety of sectors e.g. business with revenue in excess of £150m

Knowledge of using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce (Not essential)

Interest in emerging technologies

Flexibility on travel / work locations during the working week
