Lead Software Engineer London / WfH to £110k

Lead Software Engineer / Developer (Golang Kubernetes C++) *Remote Interview WfH*. Are you a technologist seeking a role where you can remain hands-on and take a lead role where you can make a real impact?

You could be joining an award winning technology-to-technology scale-up and creating cutting edge software based storage systems.

As a Lead Software Engineer you'll take a lead within a small, focussed team of technologists working on complex and interesting real-word issues with a focus on designing and developing new features in Golang that integrate with the data plane in Kubernetes.

You'll be working with concurrency and parallel computing concepts as well as modern application architectures such as messaging, key-value stores, REST API design, security and microservices to build well tested distributed systems that are highly performant and robust. As a senior member of the team you'll focus on design and architecture as well as mentoring, project leadership and contributing to product strategy.

Driven by technology the company can offer a fully remote interview and onboarding process as well as work from home; in time they'll be a gradual return to the City based offices with continued flexibility.

Requirements:

Passionate technologist, keen to innovate, learn and share knowledge with others, experience of mentoring / leadership skills

Strong OO software engineering background (likely with C/C++ but could be other) with a good understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such Design Patterns and Data Structures

Commercial development experience with GO / Golang on production systems

Ideally you will have experience with Kubernetes

Keen to attend industry events / meet-ups and interact with users

Excellent communication skills
