Job Title: LIMS and IT Support Technician

The company is a joint venture between a number of local NHS Trusts and a private sector partner. They deliver full laboratory services to a population of 750,000 patients and over 100 GP practices in the South East.
While you'll be working at the joint venture you'll be employed by the private sector partner; who are a wholly-owned subsidiary of a much larger multinational company. They're the European leader in delivery of high quality pathology testing and imaging services and operate in 30 countries across four continents, carrying out about 450 million tests per annum.
The company are seeking a dynamic and talented LIMS and IT Support Technician to be part of their IT Team. You'll need experience in providing expert knowledge and advice on all pathology IT systems to both laboratory staff and laboratory customers/clinicians and help with the Maintenance and development of IT systems; including interfacing and connectivity to various laboratory systems both internally and externally.
The LIMS and Support Technician is to take the lead in resolving IT help desk generated incidents and ensure the LIMS systems are maintained in accordance with ISO15189:2012 standards and other regulatory accreditation standards.
