Due to some exciting changes in our Systems Development Department we are looking to add some Senior System Testers / Software Engineers in Test to our team. You will help to build out a quality automation suite to test the Society's technologies to support high quality releases in an agile environment. Working closely with other technology specialists to ensure that test results can be delivered at high speed with quality of delivery.
As part of this role you will analyse and understand business requirements and priorities and then design and develop solutions to achieve the desired outcome. You will also react to any problems that arise during BAU or following new releases, making a thorough evaluation and correcting as necessary.
You will document detailed test plans to cover all aspects of the testing required. Create automated test scripts where required that align with the automation framework along with ensuring these test scripts are kept up to date and relevant.
You will deliver work that has emphasis on business service levels, productivity, efficiency and long-term benefits for the Society, ensuring all solutions are delivered with adherence to the appropriate controls, standards and guidance.
We are looking for someone who has exceptional attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills. You will work with colleag ues across not only Systems Development but across the Society, so someone with good communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships is key.
You will have a proven track record of performance testing internet driven applications, designing thorough UI automation to improve testing efficiency and hands on experience of automation and performance testing tools. You'll also have previous experience of effectively meeting deadlines, planning and organising own workload to focus on priorities and also working on your own development to update skills where needed.
