Cyber Security Engineer London / WfH to £110k

Cyber Security Engineer / Threat Detection Consultant (Linux Python). Would you like to use your knowledge of Threat Detection to contribute to a global Cyber Security product in a high impact role that will allow you a great deal of influence and excellent career progression?

You could be joining a global tech company.

As a Cyber Security Engineer you will partner with software engineers to make enhancements and improvements to the core Cyber Defence product; advising them on security best practice and prioritising analysis automation efforts based on a detailed understanding of prevailing malicious actors and techniques. You'll help to research and develop new product features, simulating features in the lab, scripting proof-of-concepts using Python and work with developers to transform these into production level code, producing detailed briefs about threats and detection approaches.

Liaising with senior stakeholders you'll understand the product and make recommendations for improvements.

The company is able to offer a remote interview and onboarding process as well as work from home for the foreseeable; in time you'll join colleagues in the London office with continued flexibility.

Requirements:

You have a broad range of knowledge across Threat Detection / Threat Intelligence Platforms and tools with deep knowledge and hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas: Reverse Engineering; Defensive Analysis; Incident Response; Vulnerability Research; Computer Forensics

You have high level scripting (or ideally coding) experience with Python and a good knowledge of the Linux commandline

You're excited by the prospect of contributing to a software product and enjoy analysis, problem solving and R&D environments

You're used to collaborating with software engineers and are keen to share knowledge

You have good communication skills, able to explain highly technical concepts to non-technical audiences as well as engineers
