A leading design consultancy are recruiting for an experienced Design Consultant. Do you have experience in the energy sector? Or have you provided engineering advice and technical solutions across a wide range of energy related projects such as district heating and cooling networks? If so then this could be he role for you!

This role offers a variety of work;Design work across all stages of the project lifecycle;The sizing of major plant and equipment for large scale district energy schemesSite based review and support worksClient facing activitiesCo-ordination of internal and external design and project resourcesUndertaking of detailed design calculationsWriting of technical documentation including project design drawings, specificationsWriting of sub-contractor scopes and major plant documentation;Creation of PFD's, P&ID's The following experience is required for this role;A minimum of 2/3 years' experience in a related role or relevant field of engineering3D CAD/ mechanical design Full project lifecycle Understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, energy transfer and stress analysisExperience of or a working understanding of district heating schemes or knowledge of heating/ cooling network funding mechanisms is desirable Chartered Engineer status or be progressing your experience levels that will lead to CIBSE and/or IMechE membership would be advantageous Salary on offer for the role is £40,000-£52,000 depending on your experience.
