The Technology, Design and Innovation (TDI) team will be built from a diverse mix of skillsets, backgrounds and experiences; highly motivated people who are driven by the prospect of working with industry leading technology in a challenging, agile and forward looking environment. A dynamic bench of professionals comprising both permanent and secondee positions, TDI will adapt to bring fresh thinking to growth opportunities, develop new capabilities and put innovation at the centre of DST growth moving forward. We are at the beginning of the TDI journey and are looking to appoint a motivated Project Delivery Manager. Broadly, the Project Delivery Manager will;
Take a leading role in managing the delivery of the exploration and creation of new technologies and capabilities. Reporting to the Head of the Future Solutions; the PDM will be responsible for the establishment and execution of project plans, management of budgets, timelines, and mitigation of the risks to delivery. Due to the portfolio nature of the business the PDM will manage a variety of projects with a diverse set of technological challenges and applications. Communication will be key and require engagement both within the business up to the Board level and externally with numerous partners and customers from a variety of industries. A collaborative, innovative and agile approach in both approach to and delivery of projects will be critical and the PDM will need to be a champion of this approach through driving continuous improvement and adoption of a variety of methodologies and approaches. Whilst not expected to be an expert on the technologies or sectors that drive our projects, the successful candidate will demonstrate both an aptitude and appetite for learning, a natural curiosity twinned with a commercial mindset. The ideal candidate will possess;
* Experience managing complex projects, ideally multiple projects concurrently * Cost and risk management skills * Strong written and oral communication skills, interpersonal and negotiation * Problem solving, agility, lateral thinking * Interpersonal skills * Leadership, management, delegation * Ability to upskill, learn new subjects * Time management and prioritisation * Collaborative * Natural curiosity about technology Successful applicants will demonstrate that they are critical thinkers able to be innovative in their approach and thinking and able to work at pace balancing multiple priorities concurrently.
