BI Team Leader - Cognos, PowerBI, Tableau

Manchester

£45000 - £48000 per annum

Joining a successful professional services business based in Manchester you will join the expanding BI / MI team. The role will manage 6 Analysts. We are looking for someone who has worked in a Lead role recently and has either mentored or team lead other Analysts in their role.

The business works in an Agile / Scrum / Azure environment. Main BI tool they use is Cognos. They offer a flexible working pattern with options to be in the office 2-3 days a week and home 2-3 days a week. The office has parking nearby or a tram stop opposite. They also offer excellent benefits.

At least 5 years experience working as an Analyst with some Team Leader experience/Lead experience

* Background in BI, MI and Reporting tools such as Power BI, COGNOS, QlikView, Tableau or MS Reporting

* Proficient in TSQL

* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

* Experience of Azure toolset desirable

* MS Office skills

* Advanced EXCEL skills

* Office 365 toolset

Key responsibilities:

* Lead a team of MI Analysts, assuming responsibility for their day to day management including top down objective setting (in conjunction with the MI Manager ), 1:1s, holiday approval, absence management and identifying and dealing with areas of underperformance within the team

* Monitor the quantitative and qualitative achievements of the MI Analysts whilst promoting service excellence to our stakeholders, engaging with them to deliver on time

* Deal with Incidents relating to MI and manage BAU requests/requests for improvements to existing MI through Service Now

* Responsible for setting an example to the team on how to work efficiently and effectively, ensuring their own behaviour and deliverables can be set as a benchmark for performance

* Adhere to the contractual Service Delivery Process(es) and Service Level Agreements both internally and externally

* Manage the documentation, client report/stakeholder report requirements and validation requirements

* Provide relevant insight and analysis to improve client understanding of their own performance.
