You will be working with a team of 8 software engineers to develop and deliver a flagship product which will help shape the future of Defence Systems Technologies. Who we're looking for
We are recruiting for a Software Engineer to work within Babcock International on Defence Systems Technology projects. As a Software Engineer you will work as part of a dynamic team developing software solutions, you will have an understanding of various development methodologies (Agile / Waterfall) and Design Patterns. You will have a good working knowledge with application development and Automated Test Environments and experience with C# and .NET. In this role you will be expected to develop modular software functionality to meet customer requirements, be actively involved and collaborate with the software team and document technical design and code. You will use various software development tools for Issue Tracking, Configuration control and software development and unit testing. You will work closely with project teams including Project Management, Systems Engineering, Integrated Logistics Support, Engineering, Commercial and Business Development. You will also provide technical assistance and domain expertise. What do I need to do the role?
* Experience with C# .NET
*Desktop applications
* Azure DevOps * Strong process / documentation experience
* A positive "can-do" attitude - this role is about timely delivery of solutions, not just about identifying problems!
* A willingness to think outside of the box and propose innovative solutions based on new technologies Lastly, you'll need...
* HNC/HND or Degree in a suitable engineering discipline (or similar relevant qualification) - candidates without this qualification will be considered, if they can demonstrate considerable relevant experience within an equivalent role
* Membership of a Professional Body such as The IET or British Computing Society
* The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role, which in this case is SC Where it all fits in:
