You'll work in one of the most progressive and innovative Informatics departments in the NHS, backed by significant multi-million pound investment. From introducing enterprise-wide Electronic Patient Records (EPR) to data warehousing and business intelligence that support the decision-making of clinical and operational staff, we're using existing and emerging digital technologies to technology to increase organisational efficiency and improve patient health outcomes.

The role

The MFT IT teams support a large number hospitals and rely heavily on robust, secure and resilient data centre technology that is scalable and responsive to demands.

This role is crucial in supporting and developing this data centre infrastructure to constant changing demands and requirements that a modern NHS Trust requires.

Our data centre technology is predominantly virtualised and you will work as part of the team that maintains the core infrastructure supporting this down to the individual servers, configuration, patching and maintenance.

Skills & knowledge required

You'll have good understanding of data centres and how virtual and physical infrastructure operates along with specific knowledge on VMware, Active Directory, Azure AD, Exchange, Windows Server and other related technologies.
