The Role

As a Sogeti UK consultant, you will be part of the Digital Assurance and Quality Engineering practice and represent Sogeti by providing expert solutions to our customers to help us maintain our position as a leader in the market. You will work on different client sites in a range of industries that include; well-known global grands, government, finance, insurance, aerospace and media/digital. You will gain exposure to a variety of tools and technologies that will allow you to continuously develop as a subject matter expert in quality engineering.

As a DevOps Engineer in Test / Consultant at Sogeti, you can:

Work with the latest testing tools and upskill in different technologies through our work on various customer sites.

Interact with other DevOps in Test specialists within the Group to further enhance your knowledge and skills

As a DevOps Engineer in Test / Consultant, we're looking for:

We have multiple positions available within DevOps, all levels require;

Experience of scripting and development in any OOP language such as; Java, JavaScript, Angular JS, Perl, Python or Ruby.

Experience operating in DevOps environments is essential.

Experience of working in Cloud solutions such as AWS or Azure.

Experience of creating automated test assets that reside within a CI/CD pipeline using appropriate test tooling such as Selenium or Tosca

Experience with back-end development using RESTful APIs.

Proficient in deploying and using Continuous Integration / Deployment (CI/CD), Server Configuration and Automation tools such as; Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Jenkins or TeamCity.

Excellent knowledge and experience of Linux operating systems, general networking, cloud infrastructure and system monitoring.

Experience of working on Agile projects using Scrum.

Flexibility on travel / work locations during the working week.

Senior levels require;

Ability to construct tool-based solutions to enable automated continuous testing and continuous deployment.

Experience in working in multi-discipline teams to deliver effective quality engineering solutions.

Ability to lead teams of more junior engineers to deliver solutions to our customers.

Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels.
