The Role

As a Consultant, you will be on the forefront of our customer's transformation to DevOps. This is a technical customer-facing role that will be accountable for the end-to-end customer DevOps implementation, including designing and delivering the solutions to ensure a great customer experience. You will also continuously be able to improve your technical, management and consulting skills by participating in large projects and benefiting from the vast knowledge of your colleagues.

The role is multifaceted, you will be working with the sales and account teams to develop customer solutions, as well as the delivery teams. We are looking for a business focused SME who can work with our new and existing customers to understand their objectives, develop solutions and lead teams to successful delivery. It's also about building networks to identify leads and grow opportunities. If you're not delivering customer projects, you will be helping us find the next one.

As a .Net Developer (DevOps Lead) / Consultant, we're looking for:-

The ability to effectively communicate technical challenges and solutions to both large and small audiences & educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of Cloud.

A Microsoft .Net development background.

Expert experience in object-oriented design and coding skills.

Designing end to end DevOps adoption and/or enablement strategy covering Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment pipeline for automated Build & Deployment. Hands on experience with CI/CD toolsets (For example; Azure DevOps (preferred), Jenkins, CircleCI, AWS CodeBuild, Atlassian Bamboo, or Travis CI.)

Learning & gathering new technologies, along with their related tools, to introduce to the business, in order to grow our agile development environment.

Providing direct server support during various operations such as deployment and general production.

Collaborating with developers to make sure new environments meet requirements and conform to best practices.

Proficient experience of coding and scripting in various technologies. (For example a combination of technologies such as .Net (essential), Python, Java, MongoDB, Shell scripting, MySQL, and Git)

Designing, implementing and testing agreed-upon infrastructures.

Excellent grasp of automation tools. Automating deployment of applications, system configurations and security settings.

Ability to use a wide variety of technologies and tools.

Being comfortable with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment.

Data management skills.

A track record of suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements.

Flexibility on travel / work locations during the working week.
