Senior Finance Data Platform Manager - Edinburgh - £70-78k

Please note - this role will require you to work from the London based office at least three days per week when safe to do so. You must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK. This organisation is not able to offer sponsorship.

A fantastic well-known banking organisation are looking to hire an experienced Data Platform Manager to sit within their Capital & Impairment (C&I) and Securitisation team. This role will report directly into the Head of Data Engineering & Finance Platforms. In this role you will be responsible for leading a team to manage, drive and improve the use of C&I and Securitisation platforms within the organisation as well as the data that is derived from them.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementation of a data strategy and roadmap for the team
  • The design and implementation of new large scale data platforms.
  • The management of all data platform resources relevant to the business and their partners.
  • Monitoring and owning the performance and reliability of the platforms.
  • Become the SME on the data platforms to advise on appropriate tools to drive data analysis.
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies which may improve the overall data infrastructure.
  • Lead and develop the capabilities of the team.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop strong relationships.

To be a good fit for this role you should have a strong background in financial services, particularly within C&I and Securitisation. You should also have the following experience:

  • Strong experience with relevant technologies used to support C&I and Securitisation.
  • Strong experience with SQL Server and Oracle
  • Solid technical understanding of SAS
  • Organisational leadership skills
  • Team leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Good understanding of emerging cloud technologies - AWS or Azure
