Overview / Responsibilities

Atkins are looking for a talented Senior Training Analyst/Consultant with a proven track record of conducting and delivering all elements of Training Needs Analysis in accordance with JSP 822 - Defence System Approach to Training.

Skills / Qualifications

Analysts / Consultants will be given significant responsibility for client-facing work across a range of MOD domains and are expected to have regular interactions with clients. Analysts / Consultants will have demonstrable evidence of the organisation and facilitation of stakeholder workshops as well as the production of high quality written reports.

Analysts / Consultants will have a MINIMUM of 5 years experience in a TNA delivery role working on MOD projects - ideal candidates would have 10 years experience.

Analysts / Consultants must be familiar with delivery of all of the following subjects:

*Role Analysis:

oDerivation of Role Profiles, Task Inventories and Competency Frameworks,

oApplication of Difficulty / Importance and Frequency Analysis,

oConduct of Knowledge, Skills and Attitude Analysis,

oProduction of Role Performance Statements,

*Training Gap Analysis:

o Derivation of draft Training Objectives,

* Training Options Analysis:

oApplication of Fidelity criteria to establish levels of training fidelity,

oMethod and Media Analysis,

oLocations and Environmental Analysis,

*Final Report

oCosts Benefit Analysis

oDerivation of training risks and assumptions,

All suitable candidates will be interviewed and expected to be able to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of the application of the TNA process and provide evidence of having done it previously. Those who are only familiar with the process but have never actually done a TNA will not be considered. As part of the application process, in addition to a CV, we request applicants provide tailored answers to the following questions:

1.Please list any TNAs that you have been involved in including the date, duration and your role (i.e. lead or analysis)

2.Please provide evidence of how you have engaged with stakeholders to conduct a role analysis - what methods did you use and how successful were they?

3.Please provide evidence of how you have applied the DIF process to elicit final training categories.

4.Please provide evidence of having undertaken a fidelity analysis, the criteria and method used and how the outcomes were presented.
