I have an opportunity for a Technical Sales Engineer to join a well-established client in the Derby area specialising in Automation in their goal to continue diversifying their customer base. In this role you will take you will be assigned ongoing bids in all aspects of the tenders as well as having autonomy in developing new business. You will be the main point of contact to ensure the different departments seamlessly communicate to achieve a tailormade bid proposal in line with customer specifications. Using your extensive industry experience within Automation you will be able to effectively communicate and understand what the best solutions are for the customers needs. Your working week will be a combination of liaising and offering technical support with the design teams , providing support of the current customer base on a commercial and technical basis via regular site visits and meetings, ownership of tendering quotes, project costings, pre-calculation and budgeting, cost and profit estimation, reviewing/authoring technical clause by clause documentation The successful candidate for this role would have the following: Several years technical Electrical/Controls industry experience within automation (Food & Beverage and Pharmaceutical experience would be highly advantageous)Demonstrated examples of being involved in the full life cycle of projectsConfidence in being customer facingEffectively communicate and work well with both engineering and non- engineering minds.Have experience in tendering and providing quotesExcellent documentation skills with proven examples This role is offering up to £50,000 DOE plus a generous benefits package as well as flexible, remote working.
