Based in Surrey an opportunity has become available for a Power Electronics Research Engineer who is well versed in the design of Converters and Inverters (DC-DC, AC-DC, DC-AC), alongside skills in SiC and GaN. The Power Electronics Research Engineer will have a proven background ideally from an automotive industry but other industries including traction, solar and renewables would be considered. You will be joining a team of expert engineers who are leading the way in the field of motor drive technology and will be responsible for the full product life cycle from design to product release, primarily designing technology such as SiC, GaN and other wide-band-gap devices. Other tasks include:SMPS, and inverter design.Simulation and circuit design.Writing design specifications.Leading design reviews.The Senior Power Electronics Research Engineer will have a degree in electronics or electrical engineering with exposure in the following:
10kw to 100kw inverter design.Design for EMC.Design for manufacture.Test and evaluation.Wide-band-gap devicesBenefits On offer is a rewarding package including life assurance, pension scheme, bonus scheme, healthcare alongside a circa £40k to £55k salary based on experience.
