Data Engineer Berlin EUR50,000 - EUR65,000One of Berlin's hottest scale-up AI companies is looking for a Data Engineer to join their team in Berlin. Key responsibilities include:Collaborate with the product engineers and execute requirements to benefit users/customersBuilding ETL data pipelines from scratch to store in a Data Lake / Warehouse to make data-led decisionsCommunicate with stakeholders and the Head of Data to manage expectations, help build the roadmap, and estimate tasksRequirements to consider before applying:You need to be brilliant at coding in Java or ScalaYour code is tested, documented, performant, and scaleable You'll need to have a good background with LinuxSpark and Hadoop for ETL pipeline building in Hadoop or SparkYou're happy to take ownership and responsibility for the Data Warehouse you're helping to buildYou should be curious, a keen sharer of knowledge, and able to adapt to change quickly Previous experience with Kafka or ElasticSearch would be a bonusThe successful Senior Data Engineer will be rewarded with remote working options (not 100% post-Covid), flexible working, EUR1000 annual learning budget which rolls over if you don't use it all, EUR500 wellness budget for a holiday or fitness membership, 27 days holiday, private healthcare, and a fantastic engineering culture to be a part of.
