Infrastructure Technician - Managed Service Provider Stockport - Salary up to £24,000 *Temporarily remote I'm currently working with an established boutique MSP who is a Microsoft Partner and who has continued to go from strength to strength over the course of the pandemic having continued to bring on new customers. This means that along with their existing customer-base, they also have a strong pipeline of new projects as they move further into 2021. As a result, they are seeking an Infrastructure technician to join the team. If you want to join a business that offers a friendly and collaborative environment, whilst also giving you the opportunity to test your problem-solving skills, whilst also developing your knowledge base around a broader set of technologies including Windows, VMware, Citrix, Networking and VOIP solutions, then this role will be for you! You will be able to make an effective contribution to the team by possessing the following experience/skills:Experience working within an MSP environment would be desirablePossess strong communication skills, as you will be dealing with multiple customers both remotely and onsite (when required)Experience supporting, installing and configuring Windows Server 2019Experience working with Windows and Linux based platforms would be desirableExperience supporting Office 365, including migrationsVirtual Server builds from scratch (Hyper-V/VMWare)Sound working knowledge of Backup systems (Veeam, Symantec and Veritas)Exposure to working with Monitoring technologies (ie SolarWinds, LogicMonitor)The ideal candidate will have at least one industry related certification such as a MTA, MCITP, MCSE, VCP or CCA.
