JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an IT Project Manager who has experience with full lifecycle software development projects, managing in-house and remote teams and who has a flexible approach to project delivery and the ability to understand and execute priorities.
As the IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of assigned projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, methodology, commitments and goals. You will be highly risk-aware and able to incorporate successful strategies into new projects and also to negate against failings experienced within previous projects.
Working as the IT Project Manager you will support the Delivery Manager with the oversight of all company projects, ensuring a consistent approach to governance is applied, suggesting and owning improvements and prioritising and progressing the improvements that are deemed feasible and obtain most value.
You will be able to execute a Project delivery with use of the most appropriate methodology - Agile, Waterfall or a combined approach.

DUTIES
Managing
Have an understanding of the top-level priorities across all in-flight projects
Ensuring that all owned projects?are delivered?on-time, within scope and within budget
Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring?technical feasibility
Developing detailed project plans to track and communicate
Managing project?risks, including regular risk assessments and development of contingency plans
Maintaining an awareness of potential interdependencies with other projects and how these impact on current project
Establishing, managing and maintaining relationships with clients, third parties/vendors and all project stakeholders
Establishing and maintaining company quality practices across the project domain
Resourcing
Have an excellent understanding of the company's Overseas teams and Quality Assurance teams resource allocation
Managing and coordinating with the overseas teams and third-party vendors
Managing allocated project resource, both onshore and offshore
Highlighting where scheduling conflicts occur and negate accordingly
Reporting and Tracking
A full understanding of project progress, including being able to report on the ‘burn-down' or similar technique
Regular reporting on project progress with use of informative and focused visuals and metrics
Measuring project performance through an assessment of quality and customer feedback
Monitoring and controlling project expenditure vs budget vs percentage complete
Managing changes in project scope, schedule and costs
Ensure accurate and timely recording of hours spent on client projects and other work within the Company's time recording systems
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation in line with the Company's quality standards
Conducting a project evaluation review
Preparing any follow-on action recommendations
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Formal experience as an IT Project Manager
Familiar with delivery in a fast moving and busy environment
Experience of working with multiple teams
Strong identification of and management of risk
Technical awareness
Proven track record as a Project Manager, with excellent people engagement skills
Able to build relationships and negotiate at all levels
A flexible approach to project delivery, adaptable and receptive to change
Strong self-organization and ability to understand and execute priorities
