My London based (but currently remote) client are looking for a Principal/Senior Python Engineer to join their team and help execute an ambitious 2021 development roadmap. Reporting into the Chief Technical Officer, this is a key position within the business as the company enters a critical growth phase. My client are looking for an experienced senior or principal engineer who is familiar with the Python and Django tech stack and a startup working environment as to hit the ground running. As with most startups this is a fast-paced agile environment where everyone’s voice counts. The company are looking for individuals with a passion and desire to make an impact by building great tech within the events/ticketing industry The Senior Python Engineer will be tasked with building upon an existing API to develop new features, assist with technical specifications and architecture. You wll be expected to participate in code reviews sharing your experience with the team. Working alongside with the Product Manager the successful person will help with feature planning and exploration by providing technical input to the Product/Design teams. Key Skills and ExperienceExperience working with Django developing web platforms using the Django REST framework.Knowledge of Postgres, Docker and Kubernetes.Experience architecting features from conception to release.A Test Driven Development mindset.Experience working in a dynamic startup environment within Agile teams.The successful Engineer will also have experience or an interest developing SaaS or Marketplace technologies and some exposure to devops and deployment. This is a senior level role with a salary range from £70-100k, currently the team is 100% remote, and although a permanent full time return to the office is unlikely there may be an expectation to attend meetings and project kick offs in person at the London HQ. There will be a comprehensive but swift interview process with the successful candidate ideally starting with Quarter 1 of this year.
