An exciting opportunity for a Senior Firmware Engineer to become part of an established utilities supplier.The purpose of the role is to develop Embedded FW using C and IAR Embedded Workbench tools. You will be supporting the company in automating their testing methods which will require you to pick up existing code, develop/redevelop, create your own code and if required transform to a different language. This is a key role where you will be the expert within Software Engineering and make Software related decisions. Essentials: 7+ years C programming and embedded 'bare metal' FW development experienceIAR Embedded Workbench toolchain experienceSTM32 ARM Cortex-M Microcontrollers and platform toolsDeveloping and testing FW on new hardware, including interpreting electronic schematic diagrams and using test equipment such as debuggers, oscilloscopes, and metersDesirables: Wireless IoT protocols over GSM/M1/NB1 using modular cellular modemsSecurity - AES, ECC, RSA, secure bootARM Trustzone development experienceOther MCU experience, E.g. Renesas M16C, TI MSP430Assembly language programmingUART/SPI/I2C serial comms protocolsExperience designing FW for low-power applicationsPC software application development experience for writing test-harnessesSVN versioning and revision control systemElectronic hardware design experienceFamiliarity with Doxygen, Jenkins This client is looking to fill this role ASAP!
