Software Services Analyst

Would you like to play a key role in supporting the Software Services team by using your strong analytical and interpersonal skills? We currently have a vacancy for a Software Services Analyst.

As a Software Services Analyst, you will be ensuring that the Asset Vision Software within BAE Systems is fully managed. You will be enaging with stakeholders of the Asset vision software to ensure that support and required information is provided. You will also be working with software data to produce reports for a range of internal customers. You will also work closely with the software vendor to ensure it is kept up to date and any issues or tickets are managed to resolution.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to build on your experience gained within an IT support/service environment or your recent degree qualification. You will also gain a wider exposure to the business through working with senior stakeholders, being able to engage with all business groups across BAE and gain an understanding of what they do.

Your main responsibilities as a Software Services Analyst will involve:

Manage Asset Vision, including: report productions, issue resolution, data manipulation and user management.

Engage with Stakeholders of Asset Vision and provide them information and support where required.

Support the upgrading of the software by the vendor and ensure the Business groups are aware of any issues.

Work Closely with the vendor to track issues and tickets and ensure resolution.

Various reporting and manipulation of data for consumption by internal customers, including management and security.

Your skills and qualifications as a Software Services Analyst:

Essential:

Good logical skills that can be applied to data

Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to learn

A keen interest in IT and experience within an IT support/service desk environment would be highly desirable

Desirable:

Knowledge/Understanding of databases.

Some experience in using SAM toolsets e.g. Scalable Asset Vision

Location: Farnborough or The Strand - Preston

Salary: £26,000+ dependent on experience
