Data Engineer UK Remote Working to £800 p/day

Data Engineer (Hadoop Airflow Big Data) *Contract Remote to £800 p/day*. UK based tech consultancy is seeking a technologist Data Engineer for a remote contract.

As a Data Engineer you'll work on a key project for a banking / finance client, providing technical capabilities and skills with the view to supporting a mission-critical data platform change programme within the client's on-premise infrastructure. You'll assist with a range of tasks which will include performance tuning and performance testing for a new on-premise HDP cluster and will be responsible for providing design and installation knowledge of Apache Airflow used as an extension of the existing platform.

Please note this is a remote contract within the UK for 3 months (possible extension), inside IR35 at £800 p/day.

Requirements:

Strong Data Engineering / Platform engineering experience

Experience of working with Big Data Hadoop based solutions

Experience of installing Airflow

Experience / knowledge of DevOps environments / tooling

Collaborative with strong communication skills

SC Clearance or ability to achieve it (UK resident for 5 years plus)
