Technical Lead / Software Engineer (JavaScript Ruby Python AWS) *FTC 6-9 months* As a Technical Lead, you are the font of technical knowledge, the mediator, commander and galvanizer of morale all in one.

They are seeking a true tech advocate with a wealth of experience in backend programming languages to join their dynamic team. Here, you'll take ownership of designing, developing, testing and deploying digital products and services using a range of modern technologies across the full development lifecycle.

This Technical Lead role would suit a confident, self-assured communicator with robust stakeholder management skills, as you'll liaise directly with clients during the requirements phase, and will play a key role through to solution user-centred design and delivery.

You'll support your team as a proactive leader, where you'll be responsible for driving their improvement and championing best practices through processes like TDD, Pair Programming and Code Reviews in a highly collaborative environment.

*Please note: this company is able to offer a fully remote interview and onboarding process and are currently operating fully remotely. There are plans for a gradual return to the Glasgow-based offices with continued flexible work opportunities (2 days in the office and 3 days working from home. This role is a fixed-term contract with a pro-rata salary over 6-9 months).*

Requirements:

You have a breadth of experience across the full development lifecycle

You have hands-on coding skills with at least one of the following languages (the more the better): Node.js, Python, Golang, Ruby

You've worked with Git version control, CI/CD, TDD / BDD approaches

You're collaborative with Pair programming and Code Review experience

You have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Ability to achieve Security Clearance; must have been UK resident for over 5 years
