Junior Software Engineer / Developer (TypeScript Elixir API). Are you a bright, enthusiastic Junior Software Engineer who enjoys working with a range of programming languages?

You could be joining a highly accomplished team of finance and technology specialists at a well backed FinTech start-up to scale up the real-time energy trading data platform.

As a Junior Software Engineer you will design and develop new features and enhancements on the web based, real-time data platform with a focus on the data infrastructure. You'll be working with large volumes of unstructured data using a range of techniques and programming languages including JavaScript, TypeScript and Elixir, working on complex APIs and utilising your knowledge of new and emerging technologies to make recommendations for continual improvement.

There is currently a remote interview and onboarding process and the ability to work from home with a gradual return to the office in Central London in due course with continued flexible working, allowing you to have a good work / life balance.

Requirements:                            

• Degree educated, 2.1 or above in a STEM discipline
• Commercial software engineering experience, having used at least some of the following: JavaScript, TypeScript, Elixir, C++, Go, Haskell, Rust, Clojure, Scala
• Aptitude and desire to learn; you'll likely have your own personal projects and play with tech in your own time
• Collaborative problem solver with good communication skills
