DevOps Engineer UK Remote / London to £120k pro-rata 6 month FTC

DevOps Engineer (GCP Google Cloud 6 month Fixed Term Contract UK Remote). Technologist DevOps Engineer sought by growing FinTech that is helping to disrupt UK consumer banking via its suite of banking software products.

As a DevOps Engineer you will focus on a project for a leading Investment Bank; you'll oversee all aspects of the projects cloud based infrastructure (GCP); set up cloud alerts, monitoring and dashboards; automate cloud deployments and set-up CI/CD pipelines. You'll integrate systems with existing on-prem Spark Hadoop infrastructure including managing the migration to GCP Dataproc and carryout UAT to ensure error handling and good user experience.

Please not this is a fixed term position for six months with the ability to work remotely anywhere in the UK (the occasional visit to the London maybe required in time).

Requirements:

• Strong DevOps Engineering / Infrastructure experience
• Strong knowledge and experience with Google Cloud Platform GCP with Docker containers and Kubernetes
• Strong scripting / programming skills in Python, Scala, Java and / or JavaScript
• Strong knowledge of Linux OS
• Good knowledge of CI/CD
• Collaborative communicator
