Firmware Engineer nr. Reading to £50k

Firmware Engineer (Embedded C ARM M0-M4 RTOS BLE IoT) *Remote Interview WfH*. Would you like to work on complex and interesting systems that provide daily challenges; collaborate with a friendly and upbeat team and make a real impact whilst enjoying a good work / life balance?

As a Firmware Engineer at this global software house you will design and develop embedded systems and hardware products using C, for the core product, a virtual ticketing and queuing platform / solution for major leisure attractions across the globe to enhance customer experience.

You'll be developing for a new product that allows users to create profiles and record data on their ride experiences (e.g. g-force, speed); focussing on low power microcontrollers and Bluetooth BLE.

The company is able to offer a remote interview and onboarding process as well as full-time work from home during the social distancing measures, going forward you'll be based three days a week in modern open plan offices close to Reading, a 10 minute walk from a mainline station, with the rest of the week working from home if desired. There's a friendly team atmosphere with regular pizza and board games evenings and core hours of 1000 to 1600.

Requirements:

Experience developing high quality C for embedded systems (ARM M0 - M4)

Experience of programming hardware devices at register level (bare metal)

Good knowledge and understanding of Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)

Good scripting skills (Python preferred)

Ability to use test equipment (DVM, oscilloscope, etc.)

Experience with serial interfaces (SPI, I2C, 232, 485, CAN, etc.)

Experience with RFID, Bluetooth BLE, Low power radio, IOT

Electronics degree
