Software Developer / Engineer (RoR RESTful API Web) *Remote / WfH*. Successful FinTech scale-up is seeking a Senior Ruby Developer. Their capital market tools are used by Investment Banks and independent research providers to automate and analyse client service and research consumption, presenting a complete overview of the client relationship made available via the Cloud.

 

As a Software Developer you'll design and develop new features and enhancements on the core product work as well as with clients to ensure smooth delivery of the SaaS product and much of your work will be around APIs, RESTful Web Services and Relational Databases. You'll use a range of technologies and scripting languages to assist with client system fixes and patches with a focus on Ruby but also with exposure to JavaScript, Python and others to use the right tool for the job.

 

The company is able to offer a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home full-time, with the caveat that you'll visit the London office a couple of times a month going forward.

 

Requirements:

Strong Ruby scripting / coding skills, ideally some JavaScript experience also

Experience of building web interface systems

Software implementation / integration experience

Excellent communication skills, ability to form strong working relationships and provide consultancy services

Experience with integration, data feeds and / or API development and a good working knowledge of Salesforce Apex is highly desirable

 

As a Software Developer you can expect to earn a competitive salary (to £75k) plus bonus and benefits.
