Java Developer to £70k *UK Remote WFH*

Java Developer / Junior Software Engineer *UK Remote WFH*. Are you looking for a challenging Java Developer role where you are able to use modern technology, continually develop your skills and work on interesting Greenfield projects? You could be joining a fast growing FinTech that's core product helps clients to reduce the cost of trading across a range of markets.

As a Java Developer you will help build the calculation engine and backend services to provide functionality such as integrating derivatives valuation models, implementing margin methodologies and building analytics to help clients understand and optimise their costs.

You'll work across the full development lifecycle, take ownership and see the results of your work quickly. There's a modern technology stack with IaC including AWS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, S3, DynamoDB, KMS and Terraform on the infrastructure side with Java 8, Maven and Kotlin on the backend and TypeScript, Angular 5 on the front end; you're focus will be on backend core Java development however you will gain exposure to other areas of the stack, particularly AWS.

The company is able to provide a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home fully remotely with the caveat that, in time, you'll be in the London office at least once a month to meet with the team.

Requirements:

Commercial Java development experience

Deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as Data Structures, Algorithms, Concurrency and Object Orientated Programming

Advanced analysis and problem solving capabilities

Experience of working in a financial services environment; familiarity with Trade Capture, Trade Execution, Pricing and Risk would be ideal

Degree educated in a STEM discipline, Computer Science preferred with a good understanding of mathematics
