Full Stack Developer

Norges Bank Investment Management is seeking a dedicated and results oriented professional for the position of Developer, joining the Trading and Financing Business Delivery Team (BDT) which reports up to the CTO area.  The Trading & Financing BDT is a cross functional team that is passionate about building outstanding products using the latest cloud native technologies. Our technology stack is ever evolving, but currently we use the .NET framework against AWS cloud computing, JavaScript and TypeScript for front end development, and database programming against MS SQL, Oracle and Redshift. Python is also a language that is commonly used.

As the successful candidate in this role, you will have responsibility for the development and maintenance of inhouse built and 3^rd party solutions in a 100% cloud environment, taking it to the next level.  You will work closely with Trading and Financing business units and other Operations teams at Norges Bank Investment Management, with the primary goal of developing  solutions that are defined and prioritized by our end users.

The position is located in London  and will report to the Head of Trading & Financing Business Delivery Team, located in Oslo, Norway.   

Main responsibilities You will work in a collaborative environment working on the following tasks:

• Developing future proof solutions targeting the trading and financing area
• Frontend and backend development
• Designing and developmenting of new API's
• Deploying on our CI/CD pipeline via TeamCity, Octopus and CloudFormation
• Fostering, improving and managing our service based architecture
• Collaborating with end users and other technical teams on development items, architecture and design
• Contributing towards our strategic direction, embracing new technologies and methodologies
• Translating business requirements into working technical solutions
• Identifing improvement areas, whether technical, data, or process related, and drive change

Technical experience:

• Full stack development using service based architecture and modern frameworks
• DevOps mindset developing and operating production systems
• Database programming
• Cloud computing
• Good working knowledge of architecture and design processes

Other relevant technical competences: Experience of one or several of the following is beneficial

• JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, Vue, Node.js
• UX/UI experience
• Agile software development methodologies 
• Git, Azure DevOps and Cloud computing
• AWS Serverless Computing
• Asset Management industry experience is a plus
