Senior Expert in Power Supply Design/Lead Engineer (Wexford, Ireland)Job Description
COMPANY PROFILE
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Expert in Power Supply Design/Lead Engineer to be part in developing power supplies for Industrial, IT, Household, Medical, Electro-mobility and Solar Applications in Wexford, Ireland and our manufacturing facilities are in China and Taiwan.
Ultimately, you will ensure your area of responsibility meets and exceeds the expectations of our business objectives and contributes to our company’s success in the long run
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES INCLUDE
? Design a power supply by selecting the appropriate converter topology
? Establish and verify the circuit diagram by simulation and prototyping
? Effectively troubleshoot and debug his designs and support and lead layout, construction and test engineers during the qualification of the related products
? Mentor and lead a team engineers, contribute to peer design reviews and product, manage development projects
? Design and development of power supply circuits from ten watts up to kilowatts
? Design and construction of high frequency transformers and inductors
? Troubleshooting of analogue and digital circuits
? Establish basic power electronic circuits and evaluate them
? Verification by electronic simulation
? Perform eFMEA
? Establish price evaluations and calculations
? Preparation of feasibility studies
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
? Diploma, Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
? At least 8+ years of Power Electronics design experience
? In depth knowledge and understanding of analogue power electronic circuits and magnetic circuits
? Expert in design and development as a principal designer of AC/DC or DC/DC Converters
? Experience as leading project engineer or as leader of a small development team
? Result focused mindset, ability to drive the team to efficiently and successfully release new products
