X2 Control Systems Engineers required for a client with offices close to Warrington.

These are staff positions to start in the New Year paying £43-£48k basic + benefits on top, including remote work.

They are looking to expand this office due to some new customers and tenders secured for 2021 / 2022, within O&G, Manufacturing and Pharmaceutical industries.

Your role will involve the design and implementation of process control system solutions. You will be involved in all project life cycle activities, including fault-finding, the preparation of design specifications and reports, software programming, project execution, testing, installation and commissioning.

The work will be varied and every project a new and exciting opportunity to use and develop different skills, both at a technical level and at a softer project execution interpersonal level.

Essential Skills

Significant experience in one of the following mainstream PLC or SCADA systems is required:Siemens S7/300, S7/400, S5 Allen Bradley SLC500, PLC5, ControlLogix, CompactLogix orSCADA systems such as WinCC, InTouch, FactoryTalk View, iFIX.Applicants may not have knowledge of all these systems but should have a good knowledge of at least one PLC and one SCADA system with sufficient practical experience to be able to work with other types of systems as dictated by project requirements.

Desirable Skills

An understanding of instrumentation signals and the ability to fault find on I/O subsystems and I/O subsystems that use buses such as Profibus, ProfiNet, DeviceNet/ControlNet and EtherNet.

Knowledge and experience of implementation of projects using the following standards, IEC61508, 21CFR11, IEC61131, EN54, S88.
