The Service reform function plays a critical role in enabling the council's priorities and supporting its operational running.

About you:

You will have a genuine passion for all things digital and Service Reform orientated, a keen eye for user experience and excellent problem-solving skills. Strong analytical and stakeholder skills will be crucial in this role so we need someone with experience of working at a senior level.

You will take pride in working side by side with and supporting our Service Reform directorate and their systems. You will have strong business analysis skills to understand user requirements and design appropriate solutions by developing and applying specific domain knowledge. You'll also take personal responsibility for your personal development, supported by the training and leadership programs on offer.

Experience in SAP payroll (UK) and HCM implementation, configuration and functional design is essential. Experience of the following modules would be beneficial:
- Personnel administration
- Organisational management
- Payroll
- Travel
- Time management

Strong office skills are essential with an emphasis on Excel.

About the role:

As a Senior App owner you will be working on multiple projects, coaching staff and working close with the delivery manager to prioritise workload and requirements for the team.

You will be expected to proactively implement improvements and efficiencies to existing services looking at future product roadmaps, and wider industry trends to support the delivery of the directorate's business plans and requirements.  Engaging with senior leadership to ensure that our service is customer focused and responds to the needs of the directorate, the wider council, our stakeholders and our customers.

You'll also use your strong communications skills to establish the requirements of the business and to work in collaboration with other technical leads across the organisation.

You will be responsible for system configuration, development, and support across the organisations SAP system with the emphasis on payroll and HR.

You will work hand in hand with the HR and Payroll team leading the full development lifecycle. Whilst the role will be based in the Digital, Data and Technology service the role will be shared with our HR and Payroll Team.  Professional support, development and training will be delivered in conjunction with the Service Reform Delivery Manager and the HR and Payroll Manager. 

You will have knowledge of statutory requirements (uk payroll) , data quality and actively monitor and resolve where appropriate.
