Devops Engineer / Platform Reliability Engineer. This hugely successful, award-winning Payments Fintech (Payments Card and services) seeks a collaborative, team-playing DevOps engineer to strengthen their core engineering team in a technical but broad-based SME-level position. 

DevOps Engineer - The position

The company offers a flat structure in their core team and, with this, you'll have a lot of freedom to be creative and make key technology decisions with a company that really fosters innovation.  The role covers: -

‘Owning' - leading, planning designing and further developing - the company's two key platforms within an AWS environment.

Implementing and managing documentation and procedures

You will be guiding the business stakeholders and working very collaboratively with the core engineers and offshore dev teams.

Delivering customer solutions.

DevOps Engineer - candidate requirements:

Strong implementation & management of procedures and documentation.

Experience of working in (ideally) Payments or similar Fintech, or some exposure to eCommerce or other payment-related industry - e.g. banking.

Strong design experience of network infrastructures

Strong AWS experience, certification useful.

Strong Linux server administration

IaC - Infrastructure as Code experience

Python and Bash scripting

CM tools and CI / CD pipelines

Git

Useful skills cover: Azure AD, security

Location:

The DevOps / Platform Engineer role is home-based going forward, but with occasional visits (once Covid is managed) for key meetings at their well-appointed offices in the City of London. The position offers a great deal of scope for future self enhancement and growth as the company builds upon its global expansion.
