I am looking for a Software Engineer to join a large Semi-Conductor test organisation based in Farnham, Surrey to work on site. Due to the nature of the work and team on site, you will be needed to work on site a majority of the time. Salary is depending on experience and matching to the requirements, but along with a good benefits package and a friendly / motivated team, you can expect between £40-£60,000.  As the Software Engineer you will be working on legacy code written in Pascal on VBA/VMS and now have to re write the code in a new language on a desktop systems for the management of electronic testing. As the code is quite dated, you will be expect to come on board, challenge the current methodologies of this project, have an imput on how the new code is written and also assist in the support and development of junior engineers. You can also expect to develop clear and user friendly GUI interfaces, create & run test and bug fixes when needed.  For this Software Engineer role, you need to have experience with: Pascal (Delphi or Lazarus is okay) C, C++, or Python programmingJavaLinux VBA/VMS is a benefit Basic Electronics understandingIf you are interested in discussing this further or applying for the role, then please get in touch.
