A Server Engineer is required by global organisation in their state-of-the-art Farnborough offices to join their busy Business Services Team.

As the Server Engineer will assess and administer changes to all managed systems to ensure the continual improvement of operating effectiveness and efficiency in line with the change process and IT Strategy. Responsible for virtual and physical servers both Microsoft and Linux based and the hosting infrastructure supporting the virtual server environment. In addition to deliver against continual service improvement requirements and digital transformation.

Essential Skills for the Server Engineer:Eligible for or hold SC clearanceExtensive knowledge of Microsoft Server 2012/2016/2019 (Windows 10 advantageous)Experience with Linux servers would be highly desirable but not essentialMicrosoft Exchange 2010/2013Skilled in VMware NSX / software defined firewallsKnowledge of VMWare ESX/vSphere administrationExperienced in Enterprise level storage solutionsPrevious experience in VMWare vSAN, administration and configurationExperienced in administering Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO and other domain service functionsExperience in enterprise level backup technologiesUnderstanding of IT Security Standards in an enterprise environmentMCSE, MCP, MCSA or equivalent experienceStrong system analysis experience requiredITIL v3.0 (or above) Framework Certificate or equivalent experience of an ITIL Service Management Implementation.
