Python Software Engineer / Backend Developer (Python SQL Linux R&D). Are you a bright, ambitious Software Engineer with Python coding skills and a genuine passion for technology? You could be working on Greenfield projects and earning significant bonuses at a massively profitable algorithmic trading house.

As a Python Software Engineer you'll work closely with the business to develop innovative new products and features for the financial exchanges, participating in various Greenfield R&D projects to identify and implement new technologies and trading strategies and will play a key role in the creation of a new Derivatives Exchange. You'll be working with large volumes of real-time data on highly scalable systems; being continually challenged and learning as part of a supportive Agile team.

There is an informal collaborative, flexible environment with a casual dress code and fairly flat structure, you'll be based in fantastic riverside offices in Central London with superb views of the City and catered daily meals.

Driven by technology this company can offer a remote interview / onboarding process and work from home during the current social distancing measures with a view to return to the office in the coming months.

Requirements:

• Degree educated in Computer Science / similar technical or scientific discipline
• Object Orientated Python development experience
• Familiarity with more advanced SQL techniques and PostgreSQL
• Good knowledge of Linux, basic system administration tasks
• Broad knowledge of Algorithms and Data Structures
• Advocate of TDD, BDD and clean coding practices
• Good knowledge of CI/CD and experienced with frequent release
