Job Title: Router (CNC & Manual) Operator / Diamond Miller - Day or Night ShiftLocation: Dorking, SurreySalary: Competitive, dependant on experienceJob Type: Full Time, PermanentThe Company is a well-established manufacturer and are renowned experts in machining, bonding and finishing engineering grade plastics, especially Acrylic. They supply global, blue-chip customers in industries including life sciences, medical devices and industrial applications with solutions including fluidic manifolds and optical components.The Role:They're looking for Router Operators / Diamond Millers who will be able to set up & run parts. These operators have the opportunity to grow in the company through training and experience.Candidates need to be able to work on their own, able to multitask across a number of machines and be proactive to ensure components meet quality requirements, working closely with QA.Key Responsibilities for Operators:Operation of machinery including manual routers, CNC routers and diamond millingLiaise with Shop Floor Manager on timescales and prioritiesEnsure consistent quality of parts producedBe proactive in ensuring work has all necessary tooling to avoid downtimeEnsure all work and raw materials in your area are correctly identified with the relevant paperworkWork with QA personnel on addressing any issues and supporting continuous improvement actionsThe Candidate:The role is suitable for someone with a record of accomplishment in manual routing, CNC routing and/ or diamond milling, ideally with some experience of plastics.
