Job title: Data Manager x 2 - Power BI

Location: Sheffield

Salary: £40,000 - £43,000 per annum

We have two fantastic Data Manager opportunities available within the client firm in Business Intelligence Team.

Purpose of the role:

Responsible for the collection, validation, cleansing and transformation of data relating to an asset class.

For this asset class, be responsible for the key enterprise data required to support all relevant product and board reporting.

Be a subject matter expert on the data available for analysis and reporting on a range of investment types via a wide range of delivery partners, including investment funds, alternative finance providers and challenger banks.

Data Processing

Manage the transport, transformation and validation of raw data from a range of internal and external sources

Manage the data load process from internal and external sources into the enterprise data warehouse

Direct analysts to ensure data preparation activities are completed on time and to the required standard

Manage the timely provision of analytical data for product teams and other functions such as Strategy and Risk

Maintain an up-to-date tracker of data from delivery partners and from liaison with Portfolio Operations

Manage resolution of issues in data received from delivery partners so that accurate data is always available

Continuous improvement of tools required to process raw data and transform it into standard data templates

Data Security

Responsible for keeping secure all source data and for implementing anonymisation Product expertise

Be the organisation's principal expert in the data available for analytical purposes

Maintain up-to-date and detailed knowledge of all data attributes, on every type of underlying loan finance

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant client deals, their structure, and how these relate to data attributes

Data Quality

Responsible for defining and applying technical checks to affirm the quality and integrity of the analytical data

Educate and oversee analysts to ensure that all technical checks carried out in a rigorous and documented way

Responsible for reconciling all financial data with Finance records

Continuous improvement of automated data quality checks to minimise manual interventions

Responsibility for quantitative monitoring of data quality

Validation of investment data from external partners and transformation into company standard data templates

Validation of investment data from internal sources and population of data warehouse upload templates

Population of the Enterprise Data Warehouse of analytical data sets according to the agreed timetable

Identification and diagnosis of data quality issues and recommendation of remedial measures to the

Advanced MS Excel.

Intermediate MS Access.

Experience of combining multiple data sources.

Creation of queries and exception reports to identify data quality issues.
