Software TechnicianMilnthorpe, Cumbria
Up to £45,000 per annum DOE
Founded in 1984, 4S DAWN Clinical Software is a software decision support company that provides software for the long-term monitoring of chronic disease.
Our mission is to help make a significant and lasting contribution to chronic disease care on a global basis - making patient management safer and easier.
We're currently looking for a Software Technician to help develop, support, sell and market our clinical software systems to the highest quality standards. Initially, you'll be working on the configuration, migration and installation of systems.
As a Software Technician, you will:
- Get involved in all aspects of software engineering, from installing and configuring systems to requirements gathering and risk assessment, through to programming, implementation and support
- Work on our quality management system and information security systems
- Design effective user interfaces
- Write code and construct complex SQL using SQL Server
- Implement interfaces and migrate data
- Undertake occasional travel (both in the UK and overseas)
To be considered, you will need proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar. Experience of the following is also essential:
- Configuring, migrating and installing systems
- Writing programming code
- Constructing SQL against MS SQL Server or a similar product
- Producing HTML formatted pages
- Testing
Please note, the successful candidate will need to live within a commutable distance (approximately 20 - 30 miles) of Milnthorpe or be willing to relocate. Also note, due to current circumstances, home working will be required.
Knowledge or experience of the medical industry would be beneficial to your application.
