Job Purpose and primary objectives:

The main purpose of the job is to help bank migrate the database to the Oracle Cloud.

There is a need of 4 technical architects who have vast expertise as an Oracle DBA and have well understanding of Oracle HA and MAA architecture using RAC

Key responsibilities :    

Understanding the architectural

artefacts/elements of the application from

infrastructure and application perspective.

Proficiency in designing the architecture of

application/database migration  from on-premises

to off-premises and upgrading the oracle

database.

Key Skills/Knowledge:

Expertise in designing the architecture of Oracle databases from an application perspective.

?      Understanding the architectural artefacts/elements of the application from infrastructure and application perspective.

?      Proficiency in designing the architecture of application/database migration  from on-premises to off-premises and upgrading the oracle database.

?      Understanding the overall application architecture and the interaction between the intra-application components and inter-application components.

?      Understanding of the Oracle database connectivity protocols like jdbc/odbc.

?      Knowledge on High Availability methodologies like RAC, HACMP, VCS clustering.

?      Knowledge on Oracle RAC HA and features like UCP, TAC, TAF, FCF, FAN.

?      Knowledge on compatibility of the COTS softwares with the OS (RHEL/AIX/HP-UX/Solaris) and with the Oracle databases.

?      Knowledge about the cloud data centres

?      Clear understanding of VIPs (virtual IPs) and the DR classification like active-active or active-passive.

?      Knowledge about replicated VM/ replicated storage.

?      Knowledge on Docker Containerization.

Experience required:8 - 12 years of hands on experience

Duration of the Assignment:12 months
