Application Support Engineer - SQL /MySQL / AWS

£25000 - £35000 per annum

We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to join a reputable tech-lead business going throug a large period of growth. This business is constantly embracing new technologies to continue supporting & devleopign their tech solutions, recently having moved to a new office they are expanidng across technology, marketing & sales - now is a great time to get on board!

Their technology is fully cloud-based, configurable & supports hundreds of thousands of users every month. Their support services have an outstanding reputation and they are looking to recruit an energetic & enthusiastic individual to join that team.

You would be responsible for:

* Managing 2nd line application support, acting as an escalation point for the 1st line team

* Proactively monitoring customer applications & platforms to avoid & prevent problems

* Deploying & implementing products onto cloud-hosted infrastructure

* Continually developing your knowledge and supporting other members of the team

* Work with project teams to investigate complex issues, implementing solutions to new & re-occurring problems

* Management of internal testing environments

* To understand the importance of configuration management, change control, quality control

Skills & Experience:

* Experience of software deployment (advantageous if within cloud hosted environments)

* Experience providing customer support

* Knowledge of web & database applications

* Essential knowledge & experience: SQL (valid & efficient queries), MySQL (basic setup/configuration)

* Desirable knowledge: AWS Infrastructure, ColdFusion, HTML, CSS
